Naomi

I recently got to do a photo shoot with my best friend, Naomi. She's a fun model to work with, absolutely ready for anything and everything! She's a little impatient for these photos, so I figured I would put up a couple that I like unedited. I won't have access to photoshop again until school starts, so I'm going to be pretty stingy on what I post. I do like these ones a lot though :) For the first one I used a +4 macro lens adapter so I could shoot very close to her face, it also gave me really shallow depth of field. For the rest of the photos i just used my kit lens. Here it is!

Portfolio

Recently I had to make a video for my portfolio of my favorite pieces. I think it's pretty neat so I decided to show it to the world, or whoever reads this haha. It only took a couple of hours on windows movie maker. It isn't the first movie I've made of my work, but this has much higher quality work and less filler than my last one. Most of the work in this is pretty recent, but some of it is from when I started getting into photography. I've found that I've really improved this year, partially due to the increased control i have over my photographs with my DSLR, as opposed to the point and shoot I've been using in the past. A lot of the photographs are landscapes and people, something I originally didn't focus on. I used to be very into abstracts and now I've moved away from it. It's nice to explore new things though. So, here it is!

Aquarium!

Last Saturday, I went to the Aquarium with Sara, Katie, and Pabloooo. It was pretty fun getting to touch some starfish and the stingrays!
I was extra stoked because I just got a polarizing filter (to help with the glare) and some lens attachments to make my factory 15-55mm lens act like a macro lens. Unfortunately, the fish moved and all, so most of my pictures were blurry from either not getting enough light for a fast shutter speed or my lens getting lost on focusing. But there were a few shots I'm pretty partial to :) Hope you enjoy these (or at least someone reads this thing haha).

I plan on putting up some pictures from a trip I took to Ward soon. Hilary was my model (again) and we made her look super classy amidst the junk. I'm in the process of editing but hopefully will have a post up soon!
