365: Day 15

Today, I received a very thoughtful gift from Mark :) It's beautiful and probably the best gift I have ever gotten and I wanted to photograph it. So here it is.

It's the ocean under the moon!

More pictures of me. You can also see a grill in the background. I don't care. This is so Mark can see a good picture of me wearing it.

365: Day 14

I've made it two weeks! Today, Vally let me photograph her. I am also starting to play around in lightroom. It's really confusing. I feel like once I get the hang of it I'll really like the program I just have to play around with it more.

I love the first photo the most, but I'm a fan of all of these photos. I like how quickly I can see a concept and know how to create it. It's great. I know these photos are pretty similar, but they all have something about them that is unique that I really like. So I'm showing you them all. Ah, 4 minutes remaining. Over and out!

365: Day 13

I'm tired today. I'm avoiding going out. I have class and work and a midterm tomorrow. But I did take my picture of the day, I just took it in my dorm room. Merrr.

365: Day 12

I attempted candid photos. Naomi was aware of the camera, but when she was less aware of it, I got the best shots.

365: Day 11

I attempted to do a self portrait. Kind of. I just wanted to try it and am thinking of doing some more in the future in a more creative way. This was just a test run. I threw most of the photos in the trash but came up with a few I liked. It's hard to like photos of yourself. To me, I just look funny through a lens. I only see myself in the mirror, and often without glasses, so it's weird to see myself in focus and so sharp. Anyway, this is what I came up with.

Aaaaand here is the major edit of the day.

365: Day 8

Today, I asked Allie to pose for me near this really pretty pond area on campus. Here it is!

I like the first photo the most, but I'll include an artsy one because that's how I roll.

365: Day 7

Red roses. They sure are pretty. I've been eyeing the ones on the way to class for a couple of weeks now. Here they are.

At the end of my posts, I think I'll include an edit from now on. I'll include it if I feel like it at least.

365: Day 6

I was laying in the sun and looked up and saw something beautiful.

365: Day 5

Walking to and from class, I saw plenty of beautiful images I'd like to capture. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting my point across in all of my photos. You can't always win. I did, however, get some pretty shots and maybe something to add to my portfolio.

365: Day 4

Ah, didn't think I'd do it, eh? 15 minutes (ish) remaining. But I did take photos today, this morning actually. I took a better picture of my cat and this swing thing in my backyard and did a plant abstract. I'm rambling a little. I'm tired. Here it is.

365: Day 3

I didn't have a lot of time for photographs today. So I chose a very interesting subject - my cat. She's frickin cute. The pictures I have are nice but not incredibly special. I've just got to take pictures every day! That's the project. :)

365: Day 2

Today, I was inspired by one of my mom's decorations. I also took my camera with me on the way to the doctor's office because it's a beautiful drive. Here's what I've come up with. Enjoy!

365: Day 1

Today, I decided to do a year long project. I will take a photograph every day and post it here. I've heard it time and time again, "If you aren't shooting, you aren't improving." And that's the truth. I get so wrapped up in my life school and work wise and I forget to do what I love. So this is the start of the project. I'm going to post a couple pictures a day (probably), unless I am too busy and only post one. Some days I might double post to make up for a recent day that I truly didn't have time for. But I really need to get to it again. Despite the funny looks I got walking around campus with my camera today, I loved taking photos again. So here's the best shots from today, unedited.

I took this photo at the proper exposure, but I like it this way better

Dorm Photography

My boyfriend sent me flowers. I, sadly, didn't take pictures of them before the pretty ones died, but I did take photos of the plants that could survive my dorm room. I brought my camera from home today and had to take a few pictures. I've been itching to take pictures. I hope the rain stops soon so I can go on an adventure! These photos needed some editing love, but not too much. I just softened the grain and gave it a more cross processed look. There it is. I think the first one is going to be my new background.

Bandimere

These cars are loud and way too fast for their own good. I'm talkin top fuel cars. Not all of the pictures of are of the top fuel cars. But if you don't know what they are, they're basically dragsters with over 900 HP. I'm not kidding. My family and I went to a race which featured all sorts of cool cars, including top fuel dragsters and top fuel funny cars. The noise was the insane. I was reminiscing about the day and decided I would post photos from it. I don't know why I never blogged about it. Anyway, here it is.

I wish I could've been one of the photographers on the sidelines. There were some SPECTACULAR burnouts. Maybe someday!
